About Us

Deb Long has been a Cosmetologist and Makeup artist since she was 15 years old. She started beauty school during high school. Deb graduated early from high school and received her Cosmetology License before her school Diploma. After graduating from high school, she went on to work in the beauty industry for several years. During this time, she also continued her education in the field studying with other instructors including Hollywood Makeup artists and trainers from around the world. Deb was then asked by the school to come back to become a Cosmetology Instructor.

After doing makeup for several years for T.V. runway, photography, Stage, video, weddings, & magazines, she decided to go to school to become a Permanent Makeup (micropigmentation)Technician.

Deb went to several different schools around the US, including Hawaii and Canada to learn the trade. Studied with the best doctors and makeup artist in the business! Deb combined her years of experience as a Makeup artist with the background as cosmetologist, cosmetology Instructor into the permanent make-up field. After years of practice Deb also took two Board exams with the American Academy of Micropigmentation to become a Board-Certified Technician & (CMI) Certified Micropigmentation Platinum Instructor.  Deb teaches basic and advanced classes in Permanent Makeup (micropigmentation). Deb has trained students from all over the world. Some of Debs classes consist of “training the trainers” other instructors have come to Deb for additional training! Deb has sponsored National events for PMU and has assisted some of the of the best educators on stage at these events. Deb has been interviewed and published in InStyle, & Marie Claire magazine, and written articles for News & Views magazine, CNN and many other popular magazines and TV shows over the years. Deb also recently helped the Illinois Health Department re-write the tattoo and body art law pertaining to PMU and microblading.

Deb takes the makeup skills she has acquired over the years and blends them with the permanent makeup to create a beautiful natural look. The tricks learned from the Hollywood makeup artists combined with the permanent makeup techniques make a natural look that lasts! Everyone can wake up beautifully!  Deb strongly believes that EVERYONE deserves to look their best no matter what!

Deb now holds every license possible in the Beauty Industry and Tattoo Industry. (Deb continues her education as well.) Deb started in the field in 1983. Deb is the owner of Advanced Educator School of Beauty Permanent Makeup. Deb LOVES to teach. This is a very rewarding profession!
